CONSTRUCTION: The Sarek Sweater is knitted in the round from the top down. The simple yet effective colourwork yoke section has both simple charted and written instructions for the two-stitch colourwork repeat. You will then split for the body and sleeves, which have a separate, optional charted colourwork section before the cuff.  Instructions are provided for you to add a collar if you prefer a higher neckline.

SKILLS: Cable cast on, Knit, Purl, M1R, Backward loop cast on, K2tog, SSK, Bind off

SIZING: Sizes 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9 are detailed below and designed to be worn with 4-8 inches/ 10-20cm of positive ease. If you are between sizes, SIZE DOWN. Choose a size based on your UPPER BUST measurement, not your full bust. This will ensure the best fit.

To fit bust: 75/86/96/108/116/124/135/146/158cm (30/34/38/42/46/49/53/58/62 inches)

Finished length: 54/54/55/60/62/62/67/67/67cm (20/21/22/23.5/24/24/26/26/27 inches)

YARN: Worsted/Aran. The sample is knitted using The Fibre Co. Cumbria (60% Merino wool, 30% Masham wool, 10% mohair. MC Greystoke & AC White Heather)

GAUGE: 16 sts and 22 rows to 4 inches/10cm in stockinette stitch (blocked). Suggested 4mm needle.

NEEDLES: 4mm 40cm (16 inch) & 60cm (24 inch) circular needle (US Size 6, UK Size 8)   
3mm 60cm (24 inch) circular needle (US Size 3, UK Size 11) plus 3mm DPNs if you prefer for the cuffs.
